Travel and nature are my muses--curiosity and mindfulness traits that serve me well in my artistic efforts opening my senses to all sources of inspiration. Sometimes I am attracted by colors, sometimes by shapes and patterns and other times simply by the special quality of the light.
I am a member of the photography group fotoMuses, the DuPage Art League and the Naperville Art League. I have shown my work at the Addison Center for the Arts, the Prairie Center for the Arts, the Bloomingdale Park District Museum, Dream Box Foto Gallery, Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Illinois Benedictine University, and numerous other venues in the Chicago area. My photos are in the permanent collection of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Illinois Benedictine University.
I have received many awards in juried competitions from the DuPage Art League and Naperville Art League, the Dream Box Foto Gallery, the Open Lens competition in Joliet and the Bloomingdale Park District Museum. My work has been published in the Prairie Light Review and Fifth Wednesday Journal.
I received a certificate in Photographic Technology from the College of DuPage and have attended numerous photography workshops both in the US and abroad. I was born in Chicago, have lived in places ranging from New York City to a farm in DeKalb, and currently reside in Lisle, IL.
